At the outset, I want to clarify that I am no expert in Productivity. I am in fact still ‘Work in Progress’.
But I aspire to reach 10x Productivity in 2021.
Also, I have realized that some of the old techniques may not be relevant now.
In the past year, I have tried many things to be on top of my game. Here are a few tips:
Do light exercises or walk for 30 mins. It frees your mind. #Mantra: Do more to be more!
Play at least one video or mobile game in a day. Research says It will keep you away from depression.
Pause to think often. Doing nothing can make you more productive. Separate your thinking time and action time. #Mantra: Think like a Monk, Act like a Ninja!
Sleep More. A peaceful sleep helps in curing procrastination. #Mantra: Ninja Mode ON!
Less caffeine and more water. Brain and Heart are composed of 73% water. To avoid brain exhaustion, drink more water.
With Work From Home continuing in 2021, I am looking to be more productive.
I have used a few tools (online and Offline) and want to know if there are any other tools or methods which I could learn to be better at my game.
I have used the below ones:
Classifying the entire Laundry list into To-dos, Critical Tasks, Projects, Dreams etc
Planners
Date Diary + To-do Lists (old fashioned diary and pen)
Excel Sheets, Word Document (Use Strikethrough feature, but helps to understand the volume of tasks)
Eisenhower’s Time Management Principles (Urgent - Important Matrix)
Evernote (For Recording Notes)
Trello (for Project Management)
Google Keep (for Recording Notes)
WeNote (for Periodic Reminders)
Notion (for Recording Notes)
Somehow Google Keep (for Recording Ideas) + Planner (for laying out plans) + Trello (for Execution) continue to be my favourite.
Also, along with the tools, one needs to learn the art of prioritization and negotiation to handle conflicting priorities!
And In the end, It is all about one's choices.
To be productive, it is not about which tool you use. Tools are to enable you.
It is about building daily micro-habits and a mindset of discipline. This will only create more time for those things that matter to you the most.
Which tools or methods have worked for you in your new work-life?
